Effective date: October 1, 2026. MealWise, operated by Lab7 Software, uses third-party artificial intelligence models for meal photo analysis, meal text parsing, nutrition estimates, vitamin and meal suggestions, meal plans, and the in-app assistant.
1. AI can be wrong
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Calorie and macro estimates — including those from photos — are approximations and can be materially wrong. Always review and adjust AI results before logging or relying on them.
2. Not medical advice
AI output is general wellness information, not medical advice. It does not account for your full medical history and is no substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional — particularly for PCOS, hormonal conditions, pregnancy, eating disorders, or medication interactions. Consult a professional before acting on any suggestion.
3. Data sent to AI models
When you use an AI feature, the content you submit (photos, messages, and relevant profile context such as goals and dietary preferences) is transmitted to the AI provider to generate your result. Lab7 Software does not control, and is not responsible for, data provided to or from AI models or the outputs they produce. AI providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing with an AI processing provider.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content. If a suggestion seems wrong, unsafe, or triggering, disregard it and contact a professional. If you are in crisis, the assistant will show support resources — but the app is not a crisis service; call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number.
