Effective date: October 1, 2026. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Lab7 Software ("Lab7", "we", "us") governing your use of the MealWise application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MealWise provides nutrition tracking, meal photo analysis, AI-generated meal and vitamin suggestions, meal plans, and a conversational assistant focused on PCOS-friendly nutrition. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
2. Not medical advice
The Service is for general wellness and informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service — including AI-generated meal analyses, vitamin recommendations, meal plans, or assistant responses — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and no doctor-patient relationship is created. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, supplements, or lifestyle, especially regarding PCOS or any medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something the Service told you.
3. AI-generated content
The Service relies on third-party artificial intelligence models. Lab7 Software does not control, and is not responsible for, data provided to or from AI models or any content they generate. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Nutritional estimates from photo analysis are approximations. You are solely responsible for verifying AI-generated information before relying on it.
4. Your account and content
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You retain ownership of the content you submit (photos, logs, messages). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service for you.
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the Service; attempt to access other users' data; reverse engineer or scrape the Service; submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the AI models' underlying systems; use the Service to develop a competing product; or interfere with the Service's operation or security.
6. AI credits
Certain features consume AI credits. Credits are a limited, non-transferable license to use features of the Service; they have no cash value, are not refundable except where required by law, and may not be sold or exchanged. We may adjust credit balances to correct errors or abuse. Paid top-up options, when offered, will be described at the point of purchase.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, logo, and software, is owned by Lab7 Software and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAB7 SOFTWARE AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lab7 Software from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Virginia, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. YOU AND LAB7 SOFTWARE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) survive termination.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app with a revised effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
